The Richmond Group USA is recruiting for an experienced PROCESS ENGINEER to join a chemical manufacturing client near Greater Richmond VA.

This role is ideal for a self-directed chemical engineer with experience in Chemical Unit Operations, such as a production engineer or process engineer in the plant. We are looking for candidates who bring experience in a variety of areas, including unit operations and initial design, equipment selection and project management of capital projects, and continuous improvement events within chemical plants.

For those who do not live near Richmond, the city and surrounding communities have a lot to offer both to singles and/or families; good schools, affordable housing, great town for foodies and craft beer lovers, great location for outdoor enthusiasts with the James River, biking and running trials, plenty of parks and rec activities, museums, theater and regional music. Plus you are only 2 hours from the beach or the mountains.


Responsibilities of the Process Engineer

  • Support a variety of chemical processes and daily production operations.
  • Support ongoing capital improvements to the operations. Perform start up and set up operations.
  • Design small engineering projects that will improve productivity, safety, product quality, or other measures.

Desired Background

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering
  • Must have industry experience in Chemical Manufacturing (batch chemical preferred, pharma chemical, reaction chemical unit operations)
