We have been engaged by a well-known and respected manufacturer of process equipment to hire several Regional Application Engineers . This is a unique chance to work for a company that equips their team with tons of resources. Rare for the industry, this role has the opportunity to earn some bonuses with minimal travel (about 10% ).
This organization has tripled their sales in the last 5 years . With the expansion of the sales force and increase in sales coming, our client is adding several regional application engineers to work alongside the sales team to support the internal needs of customers and the regional sales team. In this role you will be working exclusively with 2-3 salespeople as a team, serving as the technical expert on equipment. Most of your time will be spent talking to your regionals on the phone to prepare, strategize, and generate proposals. You will have immediate access to the mechanical engineering department should you require additional information.
This role will bring the extra credibility to the sale to ensure the customer is getting the best solution. All the equipment is custom-engineered to order, and some projects can be 4-18 months long. You will be very important to your salespeople and will work together to hit quotas, earning a bonus each quarter .
The Regional Application Engineer must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and possess excellent communication skills to get along well with their assigned salespeople and customers. They also need to be a strong multi-tasker in order to maintain multiple projects concurrently .
To be considered candidates should :
Have an engineering degree, other technical degree, or equivalent experience
Possess inside sales experience and sales mindset
Have capital equipment applications experience – especially with blueprints and drawings related to equipment solutions
Be detailed-oriented and highly organized
Live within driving distance of Lehigh Valley, PA or be willing to relocate.

The Richmond Group is recruiting for a trusted manufacturer to find a Capital Project Manager overseeing a variety of plant improvement projects. Reporting to the VP Manufacturing, this is an autonomous role where you will be counted on by Senior Management to lead crucial projects that will replace aging production equipment, improve infrastructure, replace outdated mechanical systems, and drive operational improvements (lean manufacturing).
Our client is strategically planning to develop you into a Site Manager as they prepare for several retirements. As a Project Manager you will have a great opportunity to learn how they run their operations prior to assuming a Site Manager position.
Responsibilities of the Role :
Work closely with Senior Management and Site Managers to coordinate plant improvements.
Develop scope and capital requests. Quality suppliers and contractors.
Communicate project plans and metrics to stakeholders. Minimize impact on production.
Work with autonomy to drive projects which will increase production capacity and improve operating conditions. Take charge and put creative energy into driving project success, project deadlines, coordinating resources, minimizing costs, and minimizing impact on current production.
Lead and mentor a team of engineers and project managers.
Background Qualifications :
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
PMP certification OR Proven project management experience in an industrial manufacturing setting with intent to earn PMP
Strong experience using root cause analysis methods and driving corrective actions.
Proven success and ability to analyze and process key production metrics, apply Lean and/or Six Sigma methods
Analytical, natural problem solver, well-organized, and possess strong leadership skills.
Willing to travel in US
