Regional Sales Manager – End of Line Packaging Equipment Detroit, Michigan Area | North America Territory | High Income Potential A growing Canadian OEM specializing in case erectors and tray erectors is seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial Sales Professional to manage and grow business across North America. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys travel, machinery, customer interaction, and building long term relationships in the packaging and corrugate industries. The current sales leader is retiring and will remain involved during the transition to help train and support the new hire for long term success. What Makes This Opportunity Unique This role offers the freedom and earning potential of running your own business while still having the support of an established manufacturer. Monthly compensation averaging $6,000-$10,000 paid directly to you Additional 4% commission on machine sales The territory currently represents approximately 25% of the company’s $150 million annual sales volume, creating substantial long term commission potential 1099 independent contractor structure with significant tax write off opportunities Travel rewards and credit card points from company reimbursed travel expenses Mileage reimbursement Reimbursement turnaround typically within 7 days Extensive North American travel 50-55% with flights, rental cars, customer visits, and industry networking Opportunity to become a true technical expert within the packaging machinery industry Responsibilities Develop and grow sales throughout North America Work directly with manufacturers' reps to generate, train, and close opportunities Serve as the technical expert for customers and rep groups Conduct equipment demonstrations and customer presentations Manage and strengthen existing rep networks while identifying and onboarding new rep groups where coverage is needed Travel regularly to customer sites, trade events, and partner locations Support customer relationships throughout the sales and payment process Assist customers with billing communication and payment follow up when needed Qualifications Experience selling capital equipment required Strong preference for experience with: End of line packaging equipment Case erectors Tray erectors Corrugate or converting machinery Strong mechanical aptitude and machinery knowledge Financially responsible and organized Ability to independently manage expenses and taxes as a 1099 contractor Comfortable with frequent travel throughout North America (50-55%) Excellent communication and relationship building skills Coachable, ambitious, trustworthy, and customer focused Requirements Must be located in the Detroit, Michigan area Valid driver’s license with clean driving record and no DUIs Valid passport required for Canadian company travel Must be comfortable working independently when not traveling Candidate should be motivated by long term growth and career development Benefits & Lifestyle This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, travel, and uncapped earning potential.
