We are looking for a Maintenance Manager to join a global leader in specialty materials. This role offers the chance to step into a hands-on leadership position, overseeing a tight-knit team of 5 mechanics while owning maintenance strategy, capital improvements, and repair budgets for a complex manufacturing site.
The hiring manager (Plant Manager) is seeking a change agent who is looking for more than a “keep things running” type of role. They’re looking for a true problem solver with a strong engineering foundation. The plant operates complex systems including large boilers, high-horsepower compressors and fans, and bulk material handling equipment. They need someone who can dig into challenges, troubleshoot effectively, and identify creative, cost-conscious solutions for repairs and upgrades.
What makes this role especially compelling:
Ownership of maintenance and repair budgets, with a focus on cost control and smart decision-making
Leadership of small to mid-sized capital projects (up to ~$1MM) from concept through execution
Direct involvement with contractors, planning, and plant-wide reliability improvements
High visibility within the plant, working closely with the Plant Manager and operations team
A strong culture around safety, continuous improvement, and accountability
The company itself is a well-established global provider of ingredients and materials, supporting industries ranging from infrastructure and sustainability to consumer goods.
This role is ideal for someone who:
Bachelor's Degree in technical/engineering field and enjoys solving complex mechanical challenges
Experience in complex manufacturing facility with knowledge of boilers, compressors, fans, and bulk material handling equipment.
Wants to transition (or continue growing) into a leadership role while staying close to the equipment and process
Comfortable managing budgets, driving projects, and holding teams accountable
Thrives in a hands-on, plant-based environment where you can make a tangible impact
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to the individual's race, color, sex, national origin, religion, age, disability, genetic information, status as a military veteran or any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
