Job Description

TRG Manufacturing Search Division is actively recruiting for Director of Engineering for an industry-leading OEM equipment manufacturer that’s earned a global reputation for innovation and engineering excellence. Headquartered in Virginia, this company has grown into a worldwide leader, serving customers in more than 150 countries. Their high-speed, precision systems are known for performance, reliability, and long-term value, backed by steady investment in new technology and growth.

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll guide a global engineering team at an exciting time—shaping the next generation of products, strengthening design capabilities, and driving performance and sustainability. You’ll lead three managers and about 20 engineers across the U.S., Europe, and Asia, with responsibility for new product development, value engineering, compliance, and manufacturability. Success here comes from collaboration with operations, supply chain, and sales, along with the ability to raise the bar on engineering design, inspire international teams, and mentor future leaders.

Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required; Master’s preferred. Lean Six Sigma training a plus (Black Belt ideal).
  • At least 5 years of experience leading engineering teams, with a track record of working across functions and global locations.
  • 10+ years in technical machinery or OEM environments, ideally with exposure to high-speed rotating equipment.
  • Solid skills with 3D CAD (Autodesk Inventor or similar), a strong grasp of ISO/ANSI drafting standards, and familiarity with gear design, power transmission, and PLC systems.
  • Proven success in new product development, design for manufacturability, and continuous improvement - linking engineering outcomes directly to business growth and customer value.

If you’re ready to make an impact, we’d love to hear from you! Apply today.
