Overview

We are partnering with a leading manufacturer in Southeast Wisconsin that is undergoing a significant business transformation toward World-Class Manufacturing. As part of this evolution, the organization is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and elevate its Product Engineering & Development Group.

 

This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who thrives in change environments and is passionate about building structure, accountability, and scalable engineering processes.

 

The Opportunity

This leader will take ownership of the Product Engineering & Development function, serving as a key change agent within the organization. You will play a critical role in strengthening design processes, improving cross-functional collaboration, and driving operational excellence across engineering.

 

The right candidate will bring both strategic leadership and hands-on execution capability — someone who can build systems, develop people, and create sustainable process discipline.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Product Engineering & Development team
  • Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Establish accountability and performance metrics within the engineering function
  • Strengthen design and development workflows to improve speed-to-market and quality
  • Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Manufacturing, and Leadership
  • Support the organization’s transition to World-Class Manufacturing capability
  • Champion change management and cultural transformation within engineering

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven leadership experience within Product Engineering or Product Development
  • Experience driving process improvement and operational excellence initiatives
  • Background in manufacturing environments
  • Strong change management capability
  • Ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
  • Passion for building high-performing teams
  • Experience with fabrication & ASME design standards
  • Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Mechanical highly preferred)
