We’re seeking an Accounting Manager for a fast-moving opportunity with a well-established company in Chicago. This is a project role with strong potential to become a direct-hire position.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily accounting operations including AP, AR, billing, GL, bank recs, and expense reporting
• Oversee cash management, forecasting, wires, ACH, and receipts
• Lead month-end close and prepare financial statements, trial balances, and reconciliations
• Support budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, commissions, and tax filings
• Maintain inventory accounting, fixed assets, prepaid assets, and accrued liabilities
• Recommend and implement process improvements

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 5+ years of accounting experience with leadership responsibility
• Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills. ERP experience
