Director of Process Engineering & Technology

The Richmond Group USA is currently engaged to hire a Director of Process Engineering & Technology in beautiful coastal South Carolina, near Charleston. This role sits at the intersection of materials and chemistry, application development, process and technical project leadership, and real-world impact.

What you’ll do

• Lead, mentor, and grow a technical and engineering team across 3+ processing facilities
• Execute the technical strategy and oversee product design, prototyping, testing, validation, and deployment
• Drive development from concept through production, while partnering with Product, Quality, and Operations to ensure seamless execution
• Establish standards, processes, and best practices including emerging technologies, materials, and industry trends
• Serve as a technical authority for stakeholders and customers, ensuring compliance and meeting industry standards.

What we’re looking for

You’re a technical leader who understands both chemistry and materials science and people leadership.

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field. Strong knowledge of polymer science, materials engineering, rubber chemistry, and coatings.
• Experience leading teams and complex development programs from idea to launch
• Familiarity with industry standards for testing, materials and applications.
• Team leader with data-driven decision making and clear communication skills
